Happy Thanksgiving.Today folks in the USA offer thanks for all we have and eat to over stuffed on all the wonderful food that we are blessed with. It is also a day to focus on gratitude. I for one am very thankful for all soldiers who have fought to support this country from its start as a British Colony to the present. Our freedom is so often taken for granted – I don’t and I thank those who have served to make this country the “Land of the Free”…..

Follow up your Thanksgiving Dinner with a cup of ginger tea and feel better! Just grate a teaspoon or two off the frozen root and pour boiling water over it – let steep for 5 min or more and enjoy.

Health Tip: Cloves not Just for Apple Cider Spicing.Today’s Health Tip: Clove oil is commonly used in modern dentistry as a pain control treatment and emergency toothache relief. It’s believed the effectiveness of clove oil for toothaches is due to a compound known as Eugenol. You can suck on a whole clove until soggy and then push it into the spot where the missing filling is to help with the pain while on the way to the dentist. Do NOT skip going to the dentist just because you don’t hurt! The problem is still there to fix.
Health Tip: Natural Weight Loss TricksToday’s Health Tip is about weight loss: Try eating a small piece of bread sprinkled with one or two teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar or add ACV to a salad in order to control hunger. Drink a glass of water with 1 – 2 tablespoons of ACV thirty minutes before a meal to improve digestion and help you feel fuller faster.
Health Tip: Ginger Toes?Today’s Health Tip: Did you know that a ginger-root foot bath will help you get rid of a nasty virus? if you grate up 2-3 tablespoons of fresh ginger [easier to grate if frozen] and put it in a quart of boiling water and steep like tea for 15 min. then add it to a container large enough for both your feet and hot water [not scalding] well past your ankles. Or if you don’t want to bother with that: take a heaping tablespoon of organic powdered ginger-root and dissolve in the hot water of your foot bath. Soak your feet for 30 min in the hot soak, dry your feet off, put on fuzzy socks and go to bed. You will sweat like a pig but the increase in your body temp will burn the bug right out of you.
Health Tip: Flowers for Eczema?Today’s Health Tip: The Europe PubMed Central database highlights a study published in the 1988 edition of ‘Drugs Under Experimental and Clinical Research,’ which found topical application of evening primrose oil significantly improved eczema symptoms and severity. It’s believed this oil provides such relief through a compound known as Efamol, which contains forms of linoleic acid. With your physicians’ consent, apply 3 to 4 drops of EPO directly to affected portions of your skin. Repeat one to two times per day for relief.
